CERTEGO Takes Responsibility for Scope 3 Emissions

CERTEGO Takes Responsibility for Scope 3 Emissions

Sustainability is a top priority at CERTEGO, and we are actively working to measure and reduce our climate impact. In 2024, we established a baseline plan to collect and analyze Scope 3 emissions data—covering indirect emissions across our entire value chain.

Why Scope 3 Matters

Scope 3 emissions include those from the production and transportation of purchased goods, employee commuting, and business travel. Since they often make up the largest share of a company’s carbon footprint, identifying and reducing them is crucial.

Key Focus Areas

Supplier Collaboration – We focus on our five largest Nordic suppliers, working closely to assess and reduce emissions from production and transport.

Transport & Fuel – While most fuel emissions fall under Scope 1 (from direct use), we also include emissions from fuel production in our Scope 3 reporting.

Commuting & Business Travel – With over 1,200 employees, commuting habits significantly impact our footprint. We track travel patterns to identify sustainable alternatives.

Sustainable Vehicle Leasing – We include emissions from our leased company cars and use LeasePlan data to guide greener vehicle choices.
